Selected Scriptures   |   Tuesday, July 7, 2020   |   Code: 2020-07-07-QA

1:54–26:06 – Can you provide some clarity on how much deference we are to show our ruling authorities in our efforts to implement habits for social distancing and protocols for reuniting as a church body? What consideration should we give to its impact on our testimony to the community and the unsaved people in our lives?

26:29–33:08 – When visiting national parks, there are often tour guides and displays espousing evolutionary beliefs as fact. How ought we as Christians take advantage of such situations evangelistically?

33:13–45:31 – Does Titus 1:6 teach that, if an elder or pastor has an unbelieving child, he is disqualified from being an elder or pastor?

45:34–54:16 – How would you reply to an apostate who described the sufferings of Christ on the cross as “overstated, because He knew that all He had to do was get through a bad weekend before He would be safely ensconced in heaven”? If such an apostate tells you not to waste your time evangelizing him because he probably knows the gospel better than you, should you follow his request?

54:39–59:16 – What does it mean that Jesus “went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison” (1 Pet 3:19)?

59:20–1:02:56 – Where does the pre-tribulation rapture of 1 Thessalonians 4 and the post-tribulation rapture of Matthew 24:31 appear in the book of Revelation?

1:02:57–1:04:46 – Matthew 24:13 says, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Does that mean the gospel reaches all people groups?

1:04:52–1:11:28 – How do we reconcile the statement that love, “does not take into account a wrong suffered” (1 Cor 13:15) with the instruction to confront offenders in the church (Matt 18)?

1:11:30–1:14:19 – How far does the prohibition against women teaching men in the church (1 Tim. 2:11–12) apply practically? Are women forbidden to evangelize men?

1:14:27–1:22:45 – How do you be wise in selecting a marriage partner?
